We've been ill

Poor old Zoë, she had her first illness - or, a least, first illness in this country as she got a bad tum in India when she was just 3 - 4 months old. It started with just being sick, sat in the office a couple of weeks ago but she was soon poohing cappuchino, froth and all!!

As soon as she'd done it she'd be waving, saying "pwhh, pwhh" to whoever was closest and looking oh, so sorry for herself. But she was a fantastic ill baby and I love her all the more for the way she faced her illness. She didn't complain or cry, she kept eating, drank lots of fluids - diurelite too sometimes - and stayed happy. She played, watched Bob the Builder, mithered us to death with her books - just being Zoë I suppose.

Then I was ill. I wish I could have dealt with it as well as Zoë had. Maybe it's the 49 years more that I've lived but I was useless for 5 days - and I had to go photographing roomsets on the last one!

I was trying to finish my Serendipity theme, organise some marketing and design for S9y that I'd offered - and organise the Grovewood job in my mind. I was useless at home, and it was stressful for Nino too as she had take even more responsibility for Zoë at the weekend - the days she normally gets some respite.

Oh happy days!

Thank God , they are well and fit again. I would say the older one was much harder work when he fell ill and I get so helpless ;-)

At least little Zo would eat and still try to be cheerful making me look forward to better days again! I'll look forward to Dave's next time....or hopefully no next time - touch wood :-)
