being a dad

So the party's over, the house has been put back together (well done Nino) and Zoë's now 2 years old. Despite not wanting the party at the house it all went well. Zoë loved having her friends over, she loved her wiggly worm cake and of course her new clothes and presents. There's some pics to look at if you click the link below.

We've been making all the preparations for Zoë's birthday party as it's only 3 days away now - and partying with Zoë friends too. Face paints from ebay (which I've enjoyed practicing with as you can see) and the stones and worms for Zoë's worm cake have arrived - and the cake is being baked by the bakers in Uppermill ready for me to decorate on tuesday. Zoë and I went out shopping this morning for all the other paraphanalia we need for her party on wednesday, besides the tablecloths, bowls, cups, balloons and party favours were the bubble machines and of course, a new outfit and boots for Zo.

We ended up rushing back this afternoon so as not to be late for Zoë's friend Joseph's party at Cheeky Chimps.

Zoë spent her first night in her own bedroom last night, she was so excited. We thought she might not like going into her own room but she was looking forward to it as we'd built it up for her all week and she slept solidly all night - good little Zo.
