Dressing up

Zoë entertained herself this morning after breakfast in the bedroom by dressing up in her Mum's clothes! She woke up during the night last night too - holding up her dressing gown for me to put on her before she'd go back to sleep. Half an hour later she was awake again, this time holding up one of the big red socks (which she calls 'Yacks') that she likes to sleep in. It had come off - or more likely she'd taken it off so I would come up to put it back on. What she's wearing seems to have become important to her.

She started this morning by putting Nino's pants on her head - and then wanted them put on over her legs as she couldn't do it herself. They were much too big of course so they had to be tucked into the top of her pyjama bottoms to stay around her waist. She then toddled off to the shoes under the dressing table to get a pair of her Mum's high heels. She sat on the floor but couldn't get them to stay on her feet, which naturally frustrated her, so she handed them to me and raised each foot in the air so that I could put them on for her. Surprisingly, they stayed on whilst she 'walked' around the room laughing to herself and smiling cheekily at us.
